Castle move marks new chapter for Cambridge digital agency

Feb 8, 2019

Barker Storey Matthews has let 15-17 Castle Street, Cambridge to digital specialist, Igentics Ltd whose move marks a new chapter in the company’s growth.

Castle move marks new chapter for Cambridge digital agency

Acting as agent under instruction following its client’s purchase of the 153 sq m (1,648 sq ft) three storey property, Barker Storey Matthews marketed the city centre property to let following a programme of extensive internal and external refurbishment and modernisation.

Igentics Ltd had been based at Bolton’s Warehouse on Tenison Road, Cambridge for eight years but a recruitment drive and the introduction of flexible working arrangements for its 15-strong workforce saw the company looking for more suitable office space.

In seeking new premises, the company wanted to remain in Cambridge city centre and while Castle Street is further away from the city’s main railway station, the new office offers other transport benefits.

Managing Director, David Donnan, explains, “The new office has five on-site car parking spaces and is convenient for the Madingley Road Park & Ride service and the A14/M11 via Huntingdon Road.  The proximity suits our new way of working.

“Plus, it’s a really pleasant part of the historic city centre, close to the re-vamped Kettle’s Yard Gallery and Folk Museum and Castle Hill itself.  It’ll be a stimulating environment in which to come to work and the move has come at the right time in Igentics’ business development.”
