World War II Buildings sold for Museum

Oct 20, 2014

Barker Storey Matthews Cambridge office has negotiated the sale of some former World War II RAF buildings in Bottisham. The site on Wilbraham Road, which was previously run as a Smokery and Deli, has been purchased by the Bottisham Airfield Museum Group (BAMG), who will be restoring the buildings and opening a museum.

Jason Webb, Chairman of BAMG, comments "We are very pleased to have saved these historic buildings for future generations. Our aim is now to refurbish them and return them as closely as possible back to their 1944 configuration with a view to creating one of the leading airfield/8th Air force museums in the UK. We would like to put on record our gratitude to David Raynor and Steve Gotts for their generosity, without whom this purchase would not have been possible.
