The Greater Cambridge, Greater Peterborough Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) has recently announced a £5m fund to support creative and innovative approaches to achieve economic growth.

The initiative offers loan finance, with minimum bid level of £100,000 and is primarily targeted at projects that can be repaid in up to 3 years.  Suitable projects can include start up SME's, access works to unlock commercial development and construction of new offices.  The project launch is on 24th January 2014.

In addition companies in the Huntingdonshire area are being encouraged to apply for funding if their work involves looking into the development of low carbon technology and services.  The Low Carbon Innovation Fund (LCIF), has lauched a new scheme to offer capital investments of between £25,000 and £75,000.  Companies are being urged to check their suitability for funding and those looking to take part must have private co-investment equivalent or higher than the sums requested.
