Since 2013, Barker Storey Matthews - whose offices are in Peterborough, Cambridge, Huntingdon and Bury St Edmunds - has been awarded the title of East of England Overall Winner in the EGi Deals Competition.
This year’s competition has also seen Barker Storey Matthews secure the number one position as the top dealing regional agent in the investment sector for the second successive year and the industrial and office sectors for the third year in a row, as well as being identified as the second most active agent in the region’s retail sector.
The annual competition is open to commercial agents, including national firms, who complete commercial property transactions in Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and Norfolk and is assessed on the volume of deals done - covering both lettings and sales.
Commenting on Barker Storey Matthews’ ongoing success in the overall competition, as well as its maintenance of pole position in the industrial, office and investment sectors again this year, Steve Hawkins, Partner, Eddisons BSM, said, “The East of England is region of national and international significance yet, essentially, it is dominated by regional property agents and advisers.
“To triumph so consistently against regional peers and national agents in the overall competition and achieve the top slot in the sector categories again and again is very gratifying.
“Barker Storey Matthews’ on the ground presence in the areas we serve means we offer clients - whether developers, investors, landlords or occupiers - an authentic and time critical local view.
“In the past twelve months, our offer has been boosted by the professional services heft of Eddisons which has only served to reinforce our agency expertise as these awards testify.”
