Location, size, quality of facility and the local workforce are the drivers behind a new furniture showroom and warehouse locating its premises at Eagle Business Park in Yaxley, Huntingdonshire.

Deene Ltd - which specialises in practical and durable living room and bedroom furniture - has opened its showroom and warehouse for business at Unit 8 at Heron Court in a deal which saw the company’s owner purchase two neighbouring units through sole agent Barker Storey Matthews (now part of Eddisons).

Deene Ltd is a new company that has been established to design and make furniture in UK with guarantees of British quality and also sells quality furniture from other UK suppliers.

With plans to employ and train ten people in the area of design, manufacture and installation in the coming two years, Deene Ltd looked to locate in the area because of the area’s reputation for vocational higher education.

In seeking the right premises, the company had looked at a number of units in the area but landed at Heron Court at Eagle Business Park because of the quality of the new-build facility there and the size of the units available.

Richard Jones of Barker Storey Matthews commented, “Deene Ltd is the latest in the line of a number of local owner occupier companies who have been attracted to Eagle Business Park.

“The new-build units there offer a springboard from which ambitious companies can fulfil current and future property requirements in line with business growth.”
