A significant milestone has been reached as the first phase of the Kingston Park estate in Hampton, Peterborough gets underway and the first steel is erected on the Lakeside Court development. This marks the beginning of the development stage and will be the first of many buildings.

The new Kingston Park scheme in Hampton comprises a warehouse/showroom/trade counter development of 13 acres. The site occupies a prominent location alongside the A1139 fronting the major current occupiers; Amazon, Debenhams and Willis & Gambier with Ikea located directly opposite.

The site, which was broken up into plots from 0.7 acres, has virtually all sold with only one 1.2 acre site fronting the A1139 remaining fully available.

Richard Jones, Director at Barker Storey Matthews, who is acting as joint agent on the site, commented "It is always great to see steel on site. The road into the site is already in situ. Many of the companies who have bought on the scheme will be commencing construction in the next few months and the site should be a hive of activity. Companies who have committed to the site include a motorbike showroom, telecommunication company and an international manufacturing company wanting a UK distribution headquarters. Other units are also under offer to a car showroom and a bathroom and kitchen showroom occupier. We should be in a position to announce names shortly with the first occupiers trading on site by October/November this year".

Various units are being developed speculatively on the park by the developer. Units ranging from 2,500 to 5,000 sq. ft. are available to let and some units are also for sale.
