Business was brisk at The Huntingdonshire Business Fair earlier this month (03 April) and Barker Storey Matthews took the opportunity to showcase its property agency and professional services at the exhibition and networking business to business event which took place at The Burgess Hall in St Ives.

The Huntingdonshire Business Fair was organised by the Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce in Partnership and it attracted exhibitors and visitors from a range of business sectors in the district.

As well as the exhibition, the business fair saw the launch of The Hunts Post Business Awards 2019. The event programme included and structured ‘speed networking’ sessions in the morning and the afternoon where attendees were given the chance to pitch their business to the audience in just 60 seconds.

It was the first time Barker Storey Matthews had attended the Business Fair and the firm is already planning to make it a regular feature of its business networking calendar.

Richard Adam, Director, Barker Storey Matthews Huntingdon, said, “The event was a very positive experience for us.

“Not only did it give attendees the chance to network with key business operators in the area but it also demonstrated the diversity of business sectors in the Huntingdon district.

“Indigenous firms can take for granted the advantages of doing business here but events - such as The Huntingdonshire Business Fair - make you appreciate the business benefits of our location and how attractive our district is now to operators who have not, historically, had a presence here.”
