A planning application has now been submitted for a new estate road on Kingston Park in Peterborough. The estate road, which will be required to allow the site to be broken up into smaller plots, is due for determination by the local authority on 3rd September.

Marketing commenced on the estate only a few weeks ago. Richard Jones, of Peterborough commercial agents Barker Storey Matthews, is very encouraged by early interest that has been shown.

He comments 'we have already reserved two plots and have proposals out to a further 4 occupiers. There is no doubt that a combination of the lack of opportunities in the second hand commercial property market and the growth we are seeing of local companies has led to those companies seeking a purpose built solution. We have enquiries for freehold and leasehold from 5,000 to 30,000 sq ft. Uses include showrooms, leisure and warehouse units with high office content and large yards.'

Kingston Park offers a unique opportunity for occupiers to have a warehouse building or showroom unit purpose built fronting the busy A1139 Frank Perkins Parkway in Peterborough which forms part of the ring road system. Alternatively plots are available at the rear of the site overlooking the lake and wildlife area. Units will all be constructed to a high standard. A design guide that is being produced by the developer will give the estate a quality of design which will help protect future values.
