The latest business occupier at the newest phase of the Eagle Business Park development is Meridian Gymnastics Club which is open for business in time for the school summer holidays, confirms Barker Storey Matthews (now part of Eddisons), as the sole agent under instruction at the development in Yaxley, Peterborough.

Meridian Gymnastics Club has take a ten year lease on a 678 sq m (7,300 sq ft) unit at Harrier Court, part of the second phase of Eagle Business Park’s development where over half the plots on the phase have either been sold for speculative development or have been developed already for companies looking for self-contained premises to lease or buy.

The brand new industrial/warehouse units, with office accommodation, across the new court areas of Eagle Business Park are ready for occupation this summer (2019).  Some units, including that of Meridian Gymnastics Club, are already fitted-out to early occupiers’ bespoke requirements.

The gymnastics club is a new business venture by founder and owner, Merry Raymond who has over five years experience in the gymnastics field as a qualified and accredited judge and coach.  Membership of the club is open to girls and boys of all ages and abilities and the coaching and use of the brand new training facilities at Harrier Court will focus on the technique and performance of artistic gymnastics.

In seeking the right premises for her new venture, Merry Raymond was looking for facilities offering access and parking and in a location within a good catchment area, not only for Peterborough city but the surrounding villages.

She explained, “The ethos of the club is welcoming and inclusive and with its fresh and welcoming approach we wanted a style of facility and a location to reflect this.

“Our new unit at Eagle Business Park meets these needs.  It’s accessible from all compass points, in a location from where we can plug the gaps in gymnastics’ provision at this side of Cambridgeshire.”

Richard Jones, Director, Barker Storey Matthews, added, “While not the conventional occupier expected for an industrial unit, Meridian Gymnastics Club adds a new vibe to the second phase of Eagle Business Park.

“This phase of development has already attracted a mix of more conventional industrial occupiers who, with the construction phased ending, will move in to their units in the coming months.”
