Howdens Joinery will occupy Unit 1 - a modern industrial unit with warehouse and two storey office accommodation totalling 976 sqm (10,506 sq ft) - at the town’s prime industrial trade park by way of the assignment of a ten-year lease. Barker Storey Matthews acted as the sole agent under instruction on behalf of the landlord and the building supplier represented by Montagu Evans.
At Foster Business Park, Howdens Joinery joins other established trade counter and commercial occupiers who include Floorspan Contracts, Taymor Plumbing, Frimstone Ltd, Priden Engineering and DAF.
Commenting on its new Wisbech warehouse premises, Mark Churchill, Head of Property Services at Howdens Joinery, said, “We are very pleased to be opening at Foster Business Park as part of our ongoing expansion programme.
“We have been looking for the right premises in Wisbech for some time and this new depot will enable us to grow our local business of providing small builders with their kitchen and joinery requirements.”
Richard Jones, Director, Barker Storey Matthews, added, “Industrial and trade occupiers are quick to snap-up units of this size and quality, as they become vacant.’’
“The spotlight was focused on this commercial property sector in our region last year (2017) and, based on activity to date as we head towards the final quarter of this year, we’ve no reason to believe it will be deflected in the coming months.”
