Barker Storey Matthews' Peterborough office has seen an increase in the take up of small starter industrial units within the Peterborough area.  Could this be a sign of an improving economy?

In the last few months BSM have agreed the letting of 6 separate industrial units at Benedict Square, Werrington, with a total floor area of 4,320 sq ft.  A further 2 units are under offer.  New occupiers to the estate include 11th Car Garage Ltd, The Motor Cycle Works Ltd and Puncture Safe UK.

Benedict Square comprises a self-contained estate of over 40 industrial units ranging in size from 608 - 1,248 sq ft.  Cameron Park of BSM's Peterborough office comments "an increase in activity in the small industrial property market can often be linked to an improving economy.  The fact that a lot of the new businesses taking space are starter businesses hopefully leads us to the conclusion that funding for start-ups is increasing.  We have also seen a general increase in enquiries across all size ranges".
