Mick George have recently purchased Unit 4 Lancaster Way on Huntingdon's Ermine Business Park for the companies new Head Office. The building comprises 14,000 sq. ft. and sits on a site of approximately 1.5 acres.

The building's owners, Finchdean Investments Ltd, instructed Barker Storey Matthews' Huntingdon office to market the building in early December 2014 at an asking price of £1.25 million or an annual rental of £150,000 per annum. Terms for the sale of the building were agreed with Mick George shortly after the property came to the market with the sale being completed in mid-April 2015.

Alan Matthews of Barker Storey Matthews, who acted for Finchdean investments, commented, "We are seeing a resurgence in the demand for larger office buildings with the SI1 and SI2 office building in St Ives also being sold last year. We have also agreed the sale of several small office buildings in recent months and occupiers are aware that second hand office buildings can offer excellent value for money. the availability of freehold properties is diminishing quite rapidly and we expect this trend to continue as the economy improves."

Mick George added, "We have been looking for an office building for some time to cater for our rapidly growing Head Office workforce and we are pleased to have completed Unit 4 Lancaster Way. Over the last 12 months we have recruited more than 100 people in to new roles and we still have positions available at all levels of the organisation from Head Office to jobs in operational sites across Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire and Peterborough."

"Our employees are key to the success of Mick George and we invest heavily in providing them with a great working environmentwhere they can develop their skills. Our new Head Office provides us with the space we need together with the excellent facilities and a really good car parking provision which was one of the major attractions of the building to us. we will be fitting the building out over the coming weeks and hope to take occupation in the summer."
