The latest new office development now taking shape in the Hampton business district of Peterborough is close to completion, advises Barker Storey Matthews.

Summit Park - developed by Beeson Wright Partnership within the Cygnet Park area of Hampton Business Park and designed by local architectural practice, David Turnock Associates - is due for completion at the end of this month (January).

The first building, at the front of the park was pre-let as a Starbucks drive-thru, and opened last summer (2018).

The remaining three buildings at Summit Park offer high quality office space of 400 sq m (4,300 sq ft), 500 sq m (5,376 sq ft) and 840 sq m (9,039 sq ft).

Each of the buildings offers high quality, comfort cooled office space across two floors with an additional feature meeting/board room at second storey level with views across the “Teardrop” lake to the east of the development.

Designed around fully glazed core atriums, each building has solar shading and what the agent describes as ‘excellent’ on-site car parking ratios ranging from one space per 148 sq ft to around one space per 164 sq ft.

Steve Hawkins of Barker Storey Matthews comments, “Summit Park provides high quality, energy efficient buildings of a striking appearance, well situated within the main Hampton Business Park.

“Summit Park’s office buildings’ car parking ratios are approaching twice the level seen for the competing modern space constructed in the last 10 to 15 years.

“We have agreed terms on Building 4 with a major European bank and have interest from a number of occupiers for the remaining space.

“The buildings at Summit Park are designed to be energy efficient and running and maintenance costs will be markedly lower then space elsewhere in Peterborough.”
