Barker Storey Matthews are pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Power as a Director based in the Huntingdon office. Stephen will be dealing with commercial property agency alongside the longstanding Directors, Alan Matthews and Richard Adam. 

Stephen is a Chartered Surveyor with several years' experience, having graduated from the Royal Agricultural College with a degree in Estate Management in 1997. 

Stephen is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Builders (MCIOB), as well as an RICS registered valuer. He also has a wealth of experience in advising on commercial property portfolios.

This includes, but is not limited to, undertaking rent reviews and lease renewals and providing valuations for bank lending and security purposes, as well as undertaking agency acquisition and disposal work on both a leasehold and freehold basis.  Stephen also provides strategic portfolio management advice and has overseen the management of private property portfolios. 

Stephen trained with Carter Jonas before moving to a Thames Valley-based Chartered Surveying firm, where he focused on commercial property agency including investment and development work, acting for a range of clients (including both private individuals and institutional investors) across the Thames Valley and South East. 

Stephen has strong family connections with the area as his wife is originally from Huntingdon.
