Ultrasound Direct , who offer a range of scan services to meet clinical needs, has taken a lease on Suites 1 & 2 at Fidelity House - a total of 762 sq ft (70.8 sq m) - through Barker Storey Matthews (now part of Eddisons) who acted as the sole agent on behalf of the landlord in the letting of the office suites.
The new Peterborough office is one of three Ultrasound Direct clinics serving clients in the eastern region - the others are in Cambridge and Bury St Edmunds.
With a headcount of over 200, the company has always had an affinity with the Peterborough area. Initially based in Uppingham, it then had its facility within the former Kiddicare complex before moving to Market Deeping and now relocating to its new premises in the city centre.
According to Andrew Whiteoak of Ultrasound Direct, the move to central Peterborough premises was driven by the need to be accessible by public and private transport.
He explained, “Our Market Deeping base was a lovely setting but was only really accessible to our clinicians and clients by private transport.
“The new premises at Fidelity House not only give us a high standard of accommodation but, in being located in the city, are accessible via public transport options too.”
Richard Jones, Barker Storey Matthews, added, “For companies offering professional services to the public from a wide catchment area, such as Ultrasound Direct, a central location with easy access via Peterborough’s excellent road and public transport networks remains at the top of their list of property requirements.”
