Confirmation that the second wave of Eagle Business Park’s expansion has got the go-ahead comes from commercial property agency, Barker Storey Matthews who remain the sole agent under instruction at the Yaxley Park.
The agent also reports a high level of enquiries about units on the new phase ahead of details being released and is confident that a number of local businesses - and some from further afield - will be making their move to reserve plots soon after the phase is officially launched.
Eagle Business Park, which fronts onto Broadway, was established in 2010 and the first phase was soon developed successfully to occupy its original 25.7-acre site.
The Park has always seen a good mix of trade counter, light industrial, showroom and food sector processing occupiers and freehold owners.
The second phase of the Park is set to service the needs of similar occupiers for B1 and B2 industrial use and Barker Storey Matthews advises that plots suitable for small-scale storage and distribution – B8 use class – are also available in the new phase.
There are 20 plots released for immediate reservation from 0.39 acres to 5.0 acres. As the developer, Barnack Estates UK Ltd – an established and well-regarded local and regional property developer in the Peterborough area – is offering freehold and leasehold design and build packages for units from 2,000 sq ft to 30,000 sq ft.
Commenting on the launch of this new phase of Eagle Business Park, Richard Jones, Director, Barker Storey Matthews Peterborough – who has been involved with the development since its inception last decade – said, “In aiming to meet the needs of businesses looking for affordable, new-build commercial units, our client, the developer, has always been determined that high standards of build quality and landscaping are maintained at Eagle Business Park – given its frontage and prominence on the edge of Yaxley village. This remains the same for the new phase.
As well as the quality and range of units at Eagle Business Park, occupiers reference the benefit of the location. On the south side of Peterborough, the Park is close to key infrastructure links - the A1(M) – which is important to companies for whom road distribution or incoming supply is key.”
