Studio premises in St Ives have been let on a new lease to, not-for-profit organisation, Cambridgeshire Scouts, confirms Barker Storey Matthews who was the sole agent under instruction from the landlord.

The 98.65 sqm (1,062 sq ft) open plan studio premises with kitchenette and cloakroom facilities is on Bramley Road at the town centre end of the established Somersham Road Industrial Estate in St Ives.

The building will be the administrative headquarters for Cambridgeshire Scouts from where management, support and training for its 2,000 adult volunteers will be coordinated and delivered.

The announcement of the new premises coincides with the appointment earlier this month (September) of the new County Commissioner for Cambridgeshire Scouts, Chris Ward.

Commenting on the new premises, Mr Ward, said, “Our new commercial premises give us a central base in the county, accessible to our volunteers who will help us to achieve our aims and objectives.

“The facilities at Bramley Road provide us with practical administrative facilities and an excellent training environment from where we can support our 2,000-plus adult volunteers in increasing the number of girls and boys joining the Scouts in Cambridgeshire.”
