Acting on behalf of Subway Realty Ltd, the world's largest quick service restuarant chain, Barker Storey Matthews have recently completed the acquisition of 3 new sites in the region.

The first site, at Alban Retail Park in Bedford, is a new build pod unit of 1,000 sq ft, and marks Subways fourth outlet in the town, joining existing stores on the High Street and Midland Road. A further site has been acquired at 66 High Street in Waltham Cross, Subway's first outlet in the town and marks the end of a long search for suitable premises in that area. The 740 sq ft unit occupies a former dress shop, and is being fitted out at present.

Finally, a lease has been completed on a further outlet at Jarman Leisure Park in Hemel Hempstead, Subways third outlet in the town.

Julian Welch, Director at Barker Storey Matthews who acts for Subway in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, and Cambridgeshire, comments "Subway continue to grow from strength to strength, and now have over 1,900 stores in the UK and Ireland, complimenting their 36,000 outlets worldwide". He adds "these three new outlets further confirm Subways commitment in the region, and we currently have five more sites under offer and due to complete shortly, bringing the total to over 20 new units in the area this year".
