Barker Storey Matthews has been instructed by Cambridgeshire Police to market two prime development sites in Huntingdon and Sawtry.

The Huntingdon site is situated in a central location fronting the B1514 ring road and, until recently, has provided offices for Cambridgeshire Constabulary.

The building comprises approximately 1,777 sq ft and sits on a site extending to 0.235 acres or thereabouts. From pre-application enquiries made, Huntingdonshire District Council have indicated that residential development or conversion together with office, A2 and D1 uses would be acceptable in principle subject to detailed proposals coming forward.

The second development opportunity is the former Police Station in Sawtry which comprises a former three bedroom house with kitchen, lounge and dining room together with a small adjoining office and garage.

Pre-application enquiries with Huntingdonshire District Council suggests that the site would be suitable for refurbishment with the development of two further detached houses on the site. Alternatively, consideration will be given to the demolition of the existing house and the development of two pairs of semi-detached houses.
