A surfaced storage yard of 0.143 hectares (0.353 acres) to the rear of an industrial unit in St Ives, Cambrideshire is just the latest of the links Barker Storey Matthew has with the premises at Unit 1, 9 Burrel Road in the town’s Somersham Road Industrial Estate.

The 7,141 sq ft (663.4 sq m) unit with offices and production space has been let recently by Barker Storey Matthews to a company specialising in the manufacture, design and supply of machinery for the rubber and ceramics industy.

The unit was formerly occupied by Linx Printing Technologies as part of its Edison Road campus in St Ives but was sold by Barker Storey Matthews last year (2017) to the current landlord.

Following a programme of extensive and comprehensive refurbishment and upgrading of the accommodation, Barker Storey Matthews was retained as an agent under instruction to market the unit to the new occupier.

The yard to the rear of the building is not leased by the new occupier and Barker Storey Matthews is now a joint agent under instruction to offer it on a leasehold basis on behalf of the landlord.

The storage yard’s southern and eastern boundaries are bordered by a security fence and the northern boundary backs on to the Marley Road bypass.  The agent advises that this position gives the yard good access to the A14 and St Ives town centre.
